Chocolate Rice Krispy Bars

I found this recipe I believe from Chocolate Chocolate and Chocolate more. It has been a while ago and I didn't have it written.
My kids love rice krispy but adding chocolate makes it better. Only one of my kid loves nuttella, so I used chocolate instead.

6 cups Rice Krispies
1 bag (10.5-oz) miniature marshmallows
¼ cup butter
1 cup Nutella (or more :)

1 cup Nutella
1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chocolate chips
1 Tbs shortening

Start by buttering a 9 X 12 pan and then melt the butter and marshmallows over med/low heat in a large pot. When it is almost completely melted and you can just barely see a few marshmallow lumps add the nutella and stir to combine. Then pour in your rice krispys. Stir until well coated and then pour into your buttered pan. Press into the pan well with a buttered spoon.

While the treats are cooling make the frosting by melting the nutella, chocolate chips, and shortening over medium/low heat. Be careful not to scotch your chocolate and turn the heat down if needed. When it is all melted and combined pour it over your treats and spread it out evenly with a spatula.

Let it cool first and enjoy!

Handmade Basket

I know you might be thinking this is super cute! I know, right? I love it too.
All you need:
Needle, Rope(very thinner) and older material. I
used old curtain. Make sure to cut the material the same width.
At the end, make sure you make the material thinner for smooth finish.

This is a smaller basket, if you want make it larger, just make sure the base larger.

Purim, the story of Esther

You must watch this movie. I love it. I watched it this week again. I have watched it almost every year since it came out.

This weekend is Purim. Purim is the celebration of the victory that HaShem gave to His people Israel over their enemies during the time when Persia ruled the Near East. The story of Esther (Hadassah) is well known and loved. She was an orphan who was being raised by her cousin, Mordecai.

The pagan King who ruled over the land of Persia was looking for a new Queen, since he had banned the current Queen, Vashti, from his presence because she had refused to dance at one of his drinking parties.

Hadassah was chosen to be his new Queen. You can read the book of Esther in the Old Testament.

On the 13th day of the month of Adar," the decree said "you are to destroy, kill and slaughter all Jews, young and old, women and children, all in one day. Their money and property will then belong to you."

When Mordechai heard of the decree, he ripped his clothing and put ashes on his head as a sign of mourning. He told Esther she must go to the king to try and save the Jews. Esther was afraid, for it was forbidden to come before the king without being invited. But Mordechai said, "Who knows if you have not been put in the palace for this very purpose? If you are silent now, help will come to the Jews from some other place -- and you will perish!"

Esther asked that the Jews in Shushan fast and pray for her for three days. Mordechai gathered all the Jewish and all prayed. God heard their prayers and delivers them from Haman.

God will keep His promise and also teaches us that He can use anyone to do His special work, as long as that person is willing to submit to Him and to live according to His ways.

Deuteronomy 25:17–19. Remember what Amalek did to you along the way when you came out from Egypt, how he met you along the way and attacked among you all the stragglers at your rear when you were faint and weary; and he did not fear God. Therefore it shall come about when Adonai your God has given you rest from all your surrounding enemies, in the land which Adonai your God gives you as an inheritance to possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget. (Deut 25:17–19). The command to "blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven" is playfully fulfilled each Purim in the reading of the megillah—when the scroll that contains the story of Hadassah (Esther) is read to the community. In the Book of Esther, the first time Haman is mentioned he is described as "Haman, the son of Hamedata’, the Agagite" (3:1). Since the King of the Amalekites was Agag (1Sam 15:8), it would appear that Haman had ancestral linkage to the Amalekites. I you ask how is it possible that any Amalekites survived the war waged against them by Saul, Israel’s first king? In 1Samuel 15 we read: Saul defeated the Amalekites, from Havilah as you go to Shur, which is east of Egypt. He captured Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. (1Sam 15:7–8).

If God asked you to remove yourselves from ungodly friends or those that walk against God, do it. If He gave you a word to fulfill and you haven't, I encourage you to do it. He will have to use someone else to do it, but His word will never change.

I encourage you to listen to this teaching.

My Fabulous Crochet Hat

This hat is a very difficult pattern to write.
1 round:I started with 12 SC in the round. You always want to make sure the hat is flat for the first 6 round. After that no increase and you continue until the hat fits you right.
For the cap, increase every other stitch, seven increase total.

This hat fits an adult. This is my daughter, she is 13 years old. It fits me perfect.
If you get the idea how to do butterfly stitch, it is very easy to do and very rewarding.

This may not be exactly hat as mine, here is a great YouTube tutorial.  Butterfly Crochet Stitch

I am making more hats for this month. I will be sharing some more of my work very soon.

I hope you enjoyed what you saw, I love to hear your comments and feel free to do so. Thank you for stopping by.

Stir-Fry Sweet and Sour Chicken

I love the color of this recipe. So many recipes add Ketchup and sugar for sweet and sour. Carrots & bell peppers are sweet, you don't need sugar. I try to cut any unnecessary sugar and white flour if I don't need to.
This recipe is very simple and delicious! You can prepare it with in 15 minutes and 15 minutes to finish. I can call it 30 minutes meal.
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut thin
                   3 tablespoons soy sauce
                   1 teaspoon salt
                   1 teaspoon paprika
                   1/4 cup rice vinegar
3 tablespoons Canola oil
3 medium carrots sliced
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1/4 pounds green beans
1/4 bounds broccoli
You can add scallions, bell peppers, add any veggie your family will love
4 garlic cloves, crushed
Cook noodles or brown rice, for serving (optional)
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
2 table spoon Hoisen sauce

In a large bowl, toss chicken with 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high. Cook the chicken, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Add your veggies, onions and garlic; cook over medium-high, stirring, about 4 minutes.

Whisk soy sauce sauce and hoisen sauce. Cook, stirring, until sauce has thickened and chicken is cooked through, about 2 minutes.
Serve immediately over noodle or rice, if desired.

Perfect Memories

This month, I decided to catch up with my scrapbooking. Some of my friends prefer the digtal scrapbooking, but I still love the old fashion way. I am always behind, but when I get time I try to caught up.

This is last years Valentine feast. Our time with our kids are going to fast and I love to capture some memories and save them both at blog, CD and Scrapbook.

My daughter is thirteen and it seems like it was yesterday when I took her to Kindergarten.

Peanut Butter & Chocolate Spread Cake

I am always looking for easy recipe. A friend of mine brought those for Christmas. She didn't give me the recipe. She told me what is in it and here they are, they came out great. Those are very delicious and easy recipe. I mean, what can go wrong with Chocolate and peanut butter?

1 box moist-style white cake mix (15.25 - 18.25 oz.)
12 oz. (1 1/2 cups) flavored seltzer water.

1/2 cup of peanut butter
16 ounces of chocolate chips or any other you prefer

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a large baking pan with nonstick spray. In a large bowl, whisk cake mix with seltzer until smooth. Pour into the baking pan.

Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 25 minutes. You want the cake to be very thin layer.

Once the cake is done, spread enough peanut butter on the cake. I used 1/2 cup of peanut butter, feel free to add more. Put it in the refrigerator to cool for about 30 minutes. Take it out and spread chocolate chips once you already melt it. Put it back in a refrigerator again. Once all is set and cool, cut and serve.

Happy eating!
